Something to remember
Dear Friends: I'm writing this to remember every step of my personal creative journey. Letter #8
Am I the one who feels that she does not remember what is going on in her day, or is everyone like that? I do not know, but I have a feeling that I do not remember a single thing I did this month that is worth mentioning, this bothers me.
Since I started writing a newsletter, I began to notice that I try to make each month special by doing something special, and this made me thankful every time I re-read what I wrote after every period.
So I thought taken pictures every day of my day and then saw what the highlight of my day and by that I am using the Day One app the free version, which allows only one photo to be uploaded, and this is what I want so I choose what is the most thing that I want to remember on that day. That’s allowed me to practice gratitude, to be thankful and to take a moment to be present and keep in mind to take notes of these moments when they happen on my day.
LINES
My goal this year is to practice Elements of Art and Art Fundamentals more to level up my art skills, so I made a for each month a skill. Last month I practiced figure drawing. This month I practised lines, I let myself play with the lines and discover them at the same time. I took 2 classes first one by Roman Muradov I love his style so much and the second one by Yuko Shimizu. Also, I trying to study Franklin Booth’s Artwork and Vincent van Gogh’s ink artwork
When I visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi, I was attracted by this brochure and postcard for Mummy bandage I liked how the lines were drawn.

In an attempt to understand what I learned, I drew a drawing in which I tried to apply what I learned in my own way. At first, I tried to draw with dip pen and ink I tried several times but the result was not what I wanted. I wanted it to feel soft and the ink did not give me that, so I drew it with colour pencil. Below you will find my many tries and the final drawing.
Work in progress
I started working on drawings targeting the picturebook industry, and this is my first attempt to start working seriously on my portfolio. Let me tell you how scary and difficult it is, but I really want this I want to start sending my work to publishing houses. Here are some sketches for some of the works I am working on.

In the kitchen
Since winter has begun, I have wanted to share with you a recipe for hot chocolate I hope it is not too late.
The illustration was inspired by an Instagram post for a cute cat, I tried full-colour illustration, but I ended up making the drawing simple and focusing on the lines, which I practised throughout the month.
I hope you like it, share it with those you love, make hot chocolate, and enjoy the last weeks of winter and stay warm.
Thank you to everyone who reads this newsletter. I am grateful to you, even if only one person is reading it. You are the reason I write every month. The more I write, the more I reveal about myself and what is interested me. It is a Good reminder to be here, continuing to do newsletters as a great way to become a good writer and artist as well as feel comfortable with my artistic voice, and I'm very excited to see where it takes me.
So I'm writing this to remember every step of my personal creative journey
